Reflections and Moving Forward

“As a photographer, you see and you can’t stop seeing” - Annie Leibovitz
I got into photography about 8 years ago, when my children were young. I fell in love with documenting our everyday moments and finding beauty in the unexpected. This art form has become my passion and a way of life. I have focused on portrait work and graphic design for much of the last 7 years. This year has been filled with some pretty challenging life experiences that have made me really think about what is most important. So now, after much soul searching, I have decided to focus more of my attention on expanding my pursuits into what I am truly passionate about- which is landscape, travel, documentary style photography. I will still be offering portraits, as that was my first love, but also feel the calling to explore more of the industry. I have a strong desire to see the world and how other people live and am currently seeking freelance photojournalist and travel opportunities. I am looking to expand my horizons and am excited for what’s in store! I’m so very thankful for the people and mentors that have offered support, encouragement and guidance in this journey. I plan on keeping my blog updated from here on out, so please do check back.

With Gratitude,
